All services at Cobalt Hospital are directly bookable through the electronic referral system (e-RS) and referral is via GP. If you would like to find out more about Cobalt Hospital or to find out if you can be referred to Cobalt Hospital please call our Referral Team on 0191 2703 259 


Waiting times

In line with the NHS Constitution we aim to treat all patients within a maximum of 18 weeks of receiving your referral letter from your GP General Practitioner. Unfortunately, in some cases the COVID pandemic has caused delays in treatment, but we are working hard to return things to normal and treat patients as soon as possible.

Flexible Appointments for Outpatients and Procedure 

To fit in with hectic lifestyles and work commitments Cobalt now offers evening outpatient clinics and regular Saturday morning surgery.
