Pulled muscle is one of the most common sports injuries. Hamstrings and groins are frequently pulled muscles.

A hamstring injury is a tear to the tendons or large muscles at the back of your thighs that can happen during sudden lunging, running or jumping. A groin pull is a strain of your inner thigh muscles that generally occurs in sports involving twisting, turning, changing direction, and kicking.

Always wear and use proper gear and equipment for your sport – protective and correctly fitting helmets, pads, footwear, glasses, gloves, and layered clothing can save your head, knees, feet, eyes, hands and elbows.
Appropriately warm up and stretch before exercise – to help your body physically prepare for exercise. Warm muscles are less susceptible to injury. You may start your sport slowly or try light jogging or stretching for ten to 15 minutes.
Practice good technique – to avoid repetitive stress and overuse injuries. Skills training from an instructor may be advisable to ensure you are playing correctly.
