  • Starting from the get-go as an NHS patient I was shown to my room, which was immaculate. Changed to get ready for my operation, which was about mid day, and was welcomed into the theatre, where everything was explained about the upcoming couple of hours of surgery. Recovery for about an hour then wheeled back to my room, offered a menu and was there anything I needed? Food and drink was offered, and for my three days there was totally looked after by the whole team, from Surgical team, Chef, Nurses, Housekeeping, and all. As I understand, most of the people who work there have been there for a long time time, and it seems once they start working there, they don't leave. Surgery and recovery went better than I could have hoped, and I'm now (6 x weeks post op) recovering better than I could have hoped for - couldn't recommend the place or people any higher - fantastic service from everyone.

  • I had an laparoscopy at this hospital in November 2023 after a referral from the NHS, just slipped my mind to do the review! but the staff were amazing. From the moment I went in from my procedure to staying overnight and leaving everyone was so supportive and friendly. Every single member of staff did their best to make my experience comfortable as possible and I will be forever grateful to all of them. Thank you so much for getting me on the road to recovery

  • North Downs Hospital is one of the best hospitals that I have attended over many years. Without exception all the staff that we came across were kind, helpful and considerate and went out of their way to help me with my difficult circumstances.

  • Both in/out patient and admin at North downs staff are consistently excellent. They have helped me when I have phoned in for advice or appointment issues.

  • The surgery was absolutely fantastic. The admin support was very poor e.g. I was given an appointment over the phone which did not make it to the system and was it not honoured.
