NHS Patients

The Westbourne Centre is a private, clinic and day-surgery unit providing consultant led and delivered care to self-paying, insured and NHS patients.

If you and your GP together decide the next step in your NHS treatment is a consultation or treatment with a consultant, feel free to ask to be referred to The Westbourne Centre.

Through the NHS Choose and Book system, your GP (GP's secretary or Practice Manager) can find the appropriate consultant for your needs, and submit a GP Referral Letter either electronically, by fax or post.

If you have been referred by your GP to The Westbourne Centre and are awaiting a confirmation letter of your appointment, or need to talk with someone about rescheduling your appointment, please call us directly on 0121 456 0880.

Our state-of-the-art consulting suites and day surgery theatre have achieved:

  • 35 active consultants
  • Successful CQC unannounced inspection conducted Jan 2013
  • Follow WHO 25-point surgical checklist
  • No MRSA contracted in The Centre
  • Consultant-delivered care from consultation through to post-op
  • 99.5% Acceptance Rate of Choose & Book referrals

The Medicines Formulary

The Medicines Formulary has been designed as a tool to assist in promoting safe, cost-effective prescribing within the NHS. The aim is that the Formulary will cover 80-90% of prescribing within the Health Community although we recognise that there will be instances where prescribing outside of the formulary will be both necessary and appropriate.
