Having chosen a surgeon for my eye procedure who operates within the Westbourne Centre my first contact with the centre was straightforward, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and contacted me as and when they said they would and answered any queries I had as and when I called the centre . On the day of my procedure the nurses and the theatre team were absolutely wonderful very caring, informative and just put me at ease from the moment I stepped through the door. The centre itself is very clean and bright which was lovely.

“Recently had a Basal Cell Carcinoma removed by MOHS at this clinic by Dr Rajpaar who has special training in this surgery. All cancer cells were removed in the first incision, leaving the smallest and scar on my scalp with very little discomfort or bleeding after anasthaesia wore off. The tissue was biopsied at the clinic whilst I was there during the morning so I left that clinic with total peace of mind. Nursing staff ensured that I understood the process throughout and were very supportive. I felt very relaxed. The communication and care is excellent. Would totally recommend this clinic and would return for any further dermatological concerns”

Mohs Surgery at Westbourne I have just completed a medical procedure called Mohs Surgery to remove a lump in my nose. The surgery was carried out at Westbourne on a Saturday. My surgeons (two) and nursing team (four or five) were absolutely amazing. The number and caring natures of every member of staff was extremely reassuring. Nothing was rushed or too much trouble. On the day of my surgery, I arrived to a comfortable waiting room with a good coffee machine. The surgery involved carefully removing the lump with the minimum of excess tissue then testing in a lab to see whether anything had been left behind. If so, returning for another go (and so on). Once all removed, reconstruction to address the hole in my nose. I was very lucky that the removal procedure was successful in one step. Things that I really appreciated included: a damp towel over my eyes to protect against the light during the procedure, really slow and patient approach by the surgeons as they injected anaesthetic to minimise pain, a nurse's hand to hold, gentle and respectful dialogue between the team during the surgery, a nurse taking me back to the waiting room, making me a drink and stopping to chat to make sure I was OK. Attending again after nearly a week to have stitches removed, the same kind care and attention was shown by another member of the team with the same supporting nurse (and hand) offered. Time to talk and explain before and after the procedure. In a nutshell, absolutely nothing was rushed and my feelings were at the centre of every step in the process. I had the feeling of being surrounded by capable and caring professionals at every stage. Thank you Wesbourne team. I will definitely recommend you.

I had a tooth removed at the Westbourne recently by Mr Tim Martin. The whole process was perfect and quick. Thank you Tim and the staff at the Westbourne and I did go home an watch the BBC programme Surgeons: At the edge of life which Tim appeared on. Truly amazing and very privileged to have Tim do my extraction. Thank you.

I had a referral for the removal of two wisdom teeth. All staff were professional and friendly, Miss Grant was the best dentist I have encountered. I felt so at ease, Miss Grant was informative and avoided cutting my gum after I asked, even though it was likely to be unavoidable because of how much my gum had grown back over one of the problem teeth. I was afraid and she made sure to do the extraction as quickly as possible. Thank you so much!

Fantastic treatment for my lens replacement surgery . Mr Wevill is an amazing surgeon , and lovely person , the staff are lovely . I couldn't have been treated any better . I had both eyes done at the same time and it's transformed my life . The surgery was completely painless and I was kept informed at all times. The aftercare is first class, with phone calls after surgery letting me know to call at any time if I needed and to check up on me . I highly recommend them.
