Had a Hernia repair on the 21st of April.Just wanted to say from the pre-op to the time I was permitted to go home the hospital staff were first class.Special mention goes to one of the theatre assistants (Tino) who put me at ease prior to going into theatre.If I ever have to have treatment in the future i would not hesitate in choosing this hospital.Again a big thank you to all the staff. Graham Jones. UPDATE 1/3/24 I went in for another small Hernia repair and again couldn't have asked for better care. Again from entering reception to leaving to go home the care and attention from all staff was exceptional. A special mention to young nurse Heather. I think she is quite new to her role but she is a credit to the hospital. Thanks for your care 👍 Update 14/5/24 Again another visit to this great hospital,this time for a Hip Replacement. Again wonderful care was shown throughout my one night stay. Here are a few special mentions that made my stay such a caring experience..Nurses- Rebekka,Lauren,Laura& Kirsty. Anaesthetics-Andy & Lovemore. Physiotherapy - Jenny & Ioeun. Bloods - Emmanuel & Veronica. Thank you everyone at Renacres Hospital. From the moment I arrived I was put at ease, looked after and totally reassured. From the office staff, catering staff, and especially the nurses thank you. Mr Oakley and the anesthetic team are superb. I was terrified going into surgery, but they made it a lot less stressful and completely pain free. The aftercare from all the nurses is faultless, the food was super aswell, Im celiac and no problems at all. The physiotherapy team again amazing. Two weeks after a full hip replacement I'm walking without crutches in the house. Thank you to everybody you are all amazing people.

Had an operation here this week and it is by far the best medical care I’ve every received, from start to finish! The hospital is so clean and the staff can’t do enough, recovery was fast and straight forward. If I was to ever need an operation again I would definitely visit back buckshaw hospital.

Overall excellent regarding staff but I marked good twice because there was only one patient toilet and it felt embarrassing waiting outside the door in a busy corridor overlooked by the waiting room. Also, the floor had a lot of toilet paper scraps on it. Also, I found the waiting area to be a bit stressful as there were only uncomfortable banquette style seating. Personally, I prefer an individual chair and don't enjoy sitting right up close to other people.

I recently had knee surgery at Woodthorpe Hospital, and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. From the moment I arrived, the quality of care and services was exceptional. The staff were attentive, professional, and compassionate, ensuring I was comfortable and well-informed throughout the process. The surgery itself went smoothly, and the post-operative care was thorough and supportive. Overall, Woodthorpe Hospital provided outstanding medical care, making my recovery as smooth as possible.
