PAEDIATRIC SERVICES NOW CLOSED AT OAKS HOSPITAL
Oaks Hospital took the decision to terminate the Paediatrics service effective from 1st June 2019. This means that no patient under the age of 18 may be treated as an inpatient or day case patient or be seen within outpatients including Radiology and Physiotherapy after this date. Our sister Hospitals, Springfield Hospital and Rivers Hospital will continue to run Paediatric services. For further information on the services that they offer please follow: www.springfieldhospital.co.uk & www.rivershospital.co.uk.
Simply send a referral letter via our secure online system or post. We no longer have any access to fax machines.
In the meantime your patient can contact Oaks Hospital directly to arrange a convenient appointment. To support this we can provide notepads containing appointment numbers for you to give to your patient.
If the patient does not contact us we will contact them to arrange an appointment according to the details provided on the referral.
Consultations and diagnostic tests are usually available within 72 hours for private patients, or sooner for urgent, cancer or cardiac referrals. However, patients may choose to wait for an appointment with a specific named consultant.
GPs: Simply send a referral email or refer via eRS.
Opticians: Simply send a referral email or letter to us.
