I underwent a BPH aquablation procedure in March 2026 at Duchy Hospital, Truro followed by an overnight stay, and the care I received was exceptional. From consultants and doctors to nurses, housekeeping, catering and reception, every member of staff was consistently friendly, professional and compassionate. I was treated with dignity and respect throughout, and staff communicated clearly, explained everything thoroughly, and always did exactly what they said they would, when they said they would. The facilities were spotless and maintained to an impressively high standard, which made my stay all the more comfortable. A big thank you to everyone involved. Their kindness and professionalism genuinely made a difference to my experience. I cannot recommend Duchy Hospital and its staff highly enough.

I had a knee replacement at the Duchy, I can't thank Dr. Divekar and all the staff enough, they all went above and beyond for my care. I felt very anxious having the surgery, but everyone of the staff are there to put your mind at rest. I want to say a big thank you to everyone.

Thank you to ALL the staff at Duchy for my stay for a hip replacement a week ago I feel very lucky to have had such outstanding care and treatment . I am making a good recovery thanks to all the treatment care and advice from all the staff. The ethos of the ward was outstanding and all staff seemed to feel valued by the hospital

Not long been home after my full hip replacement. I suffer terribly with anxiety. The staff from the ladies serving my food and drink right up to my surgeon were absolutely amazing. A special thanks to the nurses and the physio therapist's who were lovely . I'm so looking forward to getting back to my lovely long walks around Cornwall. Thank you each and everyone of you .

Day case - laparoscopic cholecystectomy Amazing care and support from the nurses. Consultant and anaesthetist came round in the morning and explained everything and answered questions. Theatre and recovery team so lovely and caring- really grateful and put me at ease. Thank you from the warm welcome from the reception team, ward Clark, care team and to all the behind the scenes staff that keep everything running smoothly. Hopefully I don’t need to use your services again but if I did I would not hesitate to use Duchy

My wife was in today for surgery and the level of care,communication from start to finish was truly worth it from the ward nurse, anaesthetists,surgeon and consultant she came in very anxious about the hole thing but that was soon completely forgotten about. If you have the chance to use duchy for anything you will come away feeling much more positive

Wow what an amazing experience. I just had surgery with Prof Drew and I couldn’t have been looked after better from the start. Steve Ellis really put me at ease when I was admitted, great humorous guy. All the nurses were fantastic and couldn’t have done more for me. I want to give a special mention to Lisa who cared for me all night. She was so attentive when I was sick and made me the best cup of tea in the morning. My anaesthetist and his assistant (Dr English and Olivia) were so reassuring as I had never been put to sleep before. I had a private room with VIP treatment and nothing was too much trouble. I wasn’t rushed to leave the following day. I truly felt like I was in the best place with the best surgeon and team. The aftercare from Prof Drew is second to none. Thank you Duchy. ❤️
