I had a hip replacement done by the exemplary Mr Veitsch 3 days ago. Showing kindness, care, compassion and competence he was exactly what I was hoping for and the reason that I coped with the operation as well as I did. He came to see me 3 times after the operation to check all was well and clearly goes above and beyond in his job. The Anaesthetist, too, was a lovely man who spent a long time talking to me before and after the operation and explained everything in detail to me and my husband. This is the sort of care you dream about! Dedicated nursing staff who managed my post op pain so well, kind, sympathetic physio staff, adminstaff, kitchen staff...all greeted me with a smile...it really does help in potentially stressful situation. Thank you so very much New Hall Hospital!

I was treated under the NHS here and have to say that communication, professionalism and teamwork demonstrated by each and every member of staff was exemplary. I felt very safe with surgical, anaesthetic and nursing teams in Day Surgery. Lovely friendly people put me at ease

I want to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone at New Hall Hospital for the wonderful care and compassion during my spinal surgery this week. I felt so safe and looked after throughout my whole journey at New Hall, and am incredibly grateful to every member of staff who took such good care of me - from the moment I arrived at Reception to the moment I went home. I just wish I could remember everyones names so that I could thank them personally. I can 100% recommend New Hall Hospital to anyone trying to decide which hospital to choose.

Just had a microdisectomy at New Hall, the surgeon Mr Davies was fantastic, he explained everything simply, the anaesthetist and all the theatre staff were so friendly, a special mention to Evie who looked after me overnight and brought me toast at 4am, and Salvador and Eve who looked after me post op, I felt very privileged to have such a good standard of care as an NHS patient.

What a team at New Hall, so, so professional, my spinal surgeon Nick Evans is a magician, he worked his magic and has helped me to walk more easily, he also, gave me the utmost confidence during his initial consultation and during my procedure. All the care team at New Hall were also superb, so friendly and professional, I cannot rate them or thank them highly enough. Thank you all at New Hall, I will never forget the fresh opportunities in my life that you have opened up for me. ❤️

I had a Holep Prostate operation here and I can honestly say the staff and surgeons responsible were fantastic. The hospital is bright airy and ever so clean. Food is first class and the care you receive is just wonderful. Altogether a very good experience.

I have just returned home from having spinal surgery and the care I received at new hall was outstanding! Every single staff member is kind caring and friendly they couldn’t have cared for me more if they tried. I have had a good experience from my very first appointment there I would recommend this hospital to anyone, it’s beautiful clean and very professional. Thank you to everyone that cared for me x

My husband recently had Holep surgery. The hospital is spotless. James Brewin and Pippa the anaesthetist were so reassuring. All the staff were so friendly and can't do enough for you. We stayed at an Byways apartments in the city for the duration of his hospital visit. Very convenient and parking too.

I was recently treated for a full hip joint replacement. Obviously a good surgical outcome is a major aspect and I certainly received that in the short term ……. and I am continuing to improve beyond my pre surgery mobility and close to my pre symptom mobility as my stamina recovers with more exercise. More widely, but briefly, the whole experience was very positive ….. a secluded site in a good location, an efficient layout making good use of the buildings, and impressive facilities within. All the staff I encountered were capable and professional but they were also individuals which helped to downplay the hospital context. A big thank you to Mr Veitch the surgeon, to the anaesthetist who ensured “I didn’t feel a thing” and recovered well thereafter, and the physio who quickly had me walking and negotiating stairs in a surprisingly short time.

Very happy with James Beck He really put me at my ease he is very professional kind and immediately put me at my ease. He explained to me in simple language that I can understand I am 76 years old and am very scared and frightened about my operation but he really put me at my ease.
