Clifton Park Hospital are delighted to be sponsoring Clifton Alliance Cricket Club full season from April to September 2024.
This year, Clifton Alliance Cricket Club is celebrating its 50th anniversary, in which they have built a sporting community dedicated to mastering and enjoying cricket in a style and spirit they encapsulate with the club motto: together without fear. Their values are based on sports participation, and include social inclusion, competition, learning, teamwork, fitness and sports ability.
David Carruthers, a cricket club committee member said “We are delighted to have Clifton Park Hospital as a sponsor. There is a significant historical link between the cricket club, and the Hospital. The present Clifton Alliance Cricket Club was formed in 1974 when Alliance CC, merged with the cricket club playing at Clifton Hospital, as it was then called. Many of our players players worked at the hospital. Nowadays, we have parents from the hospital and their children at the club".
Jessica Hedley, Business Relations Manager at Clifton Park Hospital said “We are delighted to be giving back to our local community as a proud sponsor for Clifton Alliance Cricket Club. As York’s local provider for orthopaedic services, we are pleased to be supporting the players and volunteers who train and play cricket weekly all year round.”
We look forward to their team updates and wish them a very successful season ahead.
