  • I went in for a day surgery, was greeted by HCA lovely Sharna who made me feel so at ease she showed me to my lovely room felt like a 5 star hotel, all the staff were so kind to me , Tammy was so kind and made me feel at ease as I was in pain after surgery she really looked after me and Sumitra also ,Betty my night nurse and the nurse who held my hand when I was put to sleep ( sorry didn’t catch her name ) they kept me in over night due to pain and didn’t leave my side. Such a lovely atmosphere all staff very caring even the catering staff, I highly recommend the rivers hospital 5 star service , I never felt rushed to go I felt so welcomed a massive thank you to all the staff love Leanne xx

  • Had a operation for Debutant contractor which I didn’t think went very well due to still having very little feeling in my hand 8 months after but the after I am still receiving from Sam for hand therapy is impeccable making sure she sees me every other week until I can at least get back the use in my fingers.   • So grateful to everyone in the Woodland hospital team. All encounters with staff were positive and cheery which made my stay very enjoyable. It was obvious staff really enjoyed their individual job roles, being so personable and kind, making my whole experience comfortable and happy. I would like to mention and thank the reception team in each department for a lovely breezy welcome and help with information and guidance; Mr Menon for his professional diligence and expertise involving my procedure which will change my current way of life; the anaesthetist who ‘got it right’; the theatre team who were all amazingly talented and kept me calm and feeling safe; the porters for quietly ‘being there’; John from the Pharmacy department for his clear explanations regarding my aftercare and for his pleasant manner; Leanne R in the nursing team and all the other nurses who were absolutely super - 10/10! (because of my state of recovery I can’t remember all the names, so apologies!) Thank you also to Paulina and the Physio team for constructive support and advice; the catering team for fresh tasty supplies and for their pleasant service with a smile. Thanks to absolutely everyone involved. I had an amazing time which made undergoing my knee replacement a brilliant experience and wouldn’t hesitate to come back again when I need the other knee replacing 😀
