Mr. Geoff Graham has been named as the next Chief Medical Officer of Ramsay Health Care UK. He will take over from Mr Charles Ranaboldo, who decided to step down from Ramsay UK after a number of successful years of service.
Geoff, a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in upper limb, joins Ramsay UK with a wealth of leadership experience in both the NHS and the Independent sector.
In his capacity as Chief Medical Officer, Geoff will oversee the Medical Body in close collaboration with Jo Dickson and the Medical and Clinical Leadership Teams, playing a crucial part in Ramsay UK's clinical quality services and initiatives. Geoff will be involved with providing oversight and guidance on the development of global communities of practice, supporting the implementation of clinical governance frameworks and emphasising focus on clinical outcome measures. The appointment helps to enrich the newly structured medical leadership within Ramsay UK following the recent appointments of Miss Sabeen Akhtar, Associate Chief Medical Officer and Dr Rob Parry, Responsible Officer.
"We are delighted to welcome Geoff to Ramsay UK as Chief Medical Officer and look forward to him joining our Medical Leadership Team," said Nick Costa, Chief Executive Officer. “I am confident that the company is in capable hands with his outstanding track record of medical practice and leadership expertise gained in both the NHS and the independent sector.
“I also want to personally thank Charles for his many years of hard work and dedication. We are grateful for his wisdom and counsel, and we shall miss his candour and sense of humour.”
