Following months of hard work from members of our mobile diagnostic team, RDUK is proud to announce its award of the Quality Standard for Imaging (QSI) Quality Mark. This recognition highlights the dedication of our team in delivering high-quality imaging services for our patients.
The QSI Quality Mark, developed by The Royal College of Radiologists (RCR) and The College of Radiographers (CoR), sets national quality criteria for imaging services, promoting continuous quality improvement. It allows services to evaluate and enhance their performance, thereby improving patient experience and outcomes.
Lisa Powell, Operations Director for Diagnostic Services, commented, “Congratulations to the RDUK team on achieving the Quality Mark. This significant accomplishment reflects your hard work and dedication. Thank you for all your efforts.”
Clare House, Head of Diagnostic Services, added, “Achieving the QSI Quality Mark underscores our commitment to providing the highest quality, patient-focused care and continuous improvement.”
The QSI Quality Mark, awarded as part of a three-year cycle, signifies that RDUK has met rigorous standards set by the Colleges. This accreditation gives patients greater confidence in the quality and effectiveness of our services.
Currently, only 15 services across the devolved nations' NHS and private imaging providers have been awarded the QSI Quality Mark. RDUK is proud to be the first mobile service to receive this prestigious recognition.
The inspection assessment noted that RDUK exceeded standards in MRI safety, IR(ME)R procedures, and equipment management. In a letter from the Presidents of the RCR and CoR, it was stated,
“We congratulate you on achieving the QSI Quality Mark. The skill and professionalism of your team in delivering crucial imaging services is vital. We trust this outcome will enhance patient confidence, maintain staff wellbeing, and support high-quality, efficient services.”
Congratulations to all involved.
