Ramsay UK’s Continued Commitment to Social Impact and Partnership

In 2023, Ramsay UK published our first Social Impact Report, developed in collaboration with the Purpose Coalition. This report focused on key Purpose Goals designed to address barriers to opportunity. The 2025 Social Impact Report reflects significant progress on a range of these goals, including:

Goal 3: Positive Destinations Post 16+

Goal 6: Fair Career Progression

Goal 8: Good Health and Wellbeing

Goal 12: Sustainable Communities

Goal 13: Harnessing the Energy Transition

A major highlight of this year’s report is the introduction of a fifteenth Goal: Working in Partnership, which focuses in on Ramsay’s collaboration with the NHS. This goal emphasises our collective efforts to reduce waiting times, deliver vital healthcare services, and support the rollout of elective care across the country.

The report also looks forward to the future, with plans to enhance Ramsay’s social impact even further. We are committed to expanding apprenticeship and training opportunities, promoting employee wellbeing, increasing community health initiatives, and refining our data-driven approach to measuring social impact. At the heart of this progress is the strengthening of our partnerships, which will drive even greater positive change.

Nick Forbes CBE, Engagement Director at the Purpose Coalition, commented:

“The Prime Minister’s announcement of the Elective Reform Plan earlier this year has set a clear goal to transform the experience of elective care, with a focus on high-demand areas, innovative technology, and offering patients more choice and convenience. The independent healthcare sector, including Ramsay, will play a vital role in supporting the NHS.”

He continued, “This report showcases how Ramsay is engaging in constructive collaboration to improve outcomes for patients, colleagues, and the wider community. The organization’s purpose-driven approach and commitment to going above and beyond to drive innovation and high-quality care positions it as a force for positive change in healthcare and communities across the UK.”

Nick Costa, Chief Executive Officer shared his pride in the continued achievements of the organisation:

“At Ramsay, we are guided by the core value of ‘People Caring for People.’ This principle drives us to provide exceptional care to our patients, support our staff’s professional growth, and be a trusted partner within our communities. I am proud to see how our latest report reflects the dedication and hard work of our teams.”

He added, “Being recognised for our commitment to ‘Working in Partnership’ speaks to the strong relationships we’ve built with NHS Trusts and ICBs across England. Supporting the reduction of NHS waiting lists and ensuring people receive the care they need is central to our mission. We are dedicated to investing in our capacity to meet these needs, both now and in the future.”
