The Medical Unit at Ashtead Hospital

The Medical Unit at Ashtead Hospital is an 11 bedded Consultant led unit, all with private en-suite rooms and non-slip flooring. Senior Nurse Farrington is The Medical Unit Lead with Staff Nurse Tomlacova as her Deputy.

The Medical Unit accepts patients with a wide variety of conditions and offers respite packages as well when a little bit more support is required either following an illness or surgery.

Our staff are specially trained in relation to dementia, falls prevention and acute illness management. 

All patients in The Medical  are reviewed daily by their consultant and have a number of medical consultants specialising in Respiratory, Rheumatology and General Medicine. 

Our nursing staff can assist with organising community services on discharge, family meetings are held as required to assist and support relatives. We pride ourselves on delivering a consistently high standard of care.
