I was extremely anxious about the procedure due to a family member having issues when they had theirs but the team at Ashtead reassured me and put me at ease. I felt heard and consulted at all stages. The theatre team at Ashtead, are kind, caring, calm and reassuring. Mary held my hand all the way through the procedure and staff in theatre remembered me from 4 weeks earlier when I had another procedure there. The recovery room staff also recognised me and were caring and funny, I really felt looked after well by all the staff. I have used Ashtead Hospital for a few procedures now and would not want to go anywhere else. Only one niggle and that was for the day patient procedure I had at Ashtead a month previously to this procedure, I was located on the 2nd floor which is for private patients but on this visit just 4 weeks later, I was placed on the 1st floor. The standard of rooms are much more welcoming on the 2nd floor and something you would expect as a private patient. Whilst the rooms were adequate on the 1st floor, If you are a private patient and paying for your care, I would have expected to be in the private rooms on the 2nd floor. Both procedures a month apart required sedation and half a days stay.

I went to this hospital for a Carpal Tunnel Decompression Surgery. All the staff were so welcoming and friendly, the hospital was clean, modern, with individual rooms and bathrooms. Gill my nurse was the kindest nurse I have ever met and Mr Sharna and his team put me at ease and I felt that they truly cared. I was given tea and biscuits. Very impressed with the care standards of each and every member of staff at this hospital. Thank you all so much. Wonderful experience for me and how care should be everywhere ✨✨🥰
