Liberal Democrat MP for Epsom and Ewell, Helen Maguire, visited Ramsay UK’s Ashtead Hospital to see first-hand how it is helping to deliver better outcomes for local patients.
Helen was elected to Parliament as an MP in the General Election of July 2024 and is the Liberal Democrat spokesperson on defence. Before entering politics, she served as a captain in the British Army and also ran her own business. She lives locally with her family.
Ashtead Hospital, on the edge of Ashtead Village in Surrey, is part of Ramsay Health Care UK, one of the leading independent healthcare providers in England. During her visit, Helen toured the hospital with, Hospital Director, Gael Ogunyemi and met consultants, nurses and the staff team working at the hospital to deliver services to patients. She was able to see its diagnostic and treatment technology including state of the art ultrasound, MRI and CT scanning.
