Ashtead Hospital will be welcoming two local Slimming World Group Meetings weekly starting in May. Dianne, who looks after the Slimming World franchise in Ashtead is delighted to have secured Ashtead Hospital as a venue for her Tuesday evening meetings which are open to staff and the public.
Dianne says, “It is so exciting that I am able to hold my meetings at Ashtead Hospital as I’m passionate about health care and I am most thankful for their support.”
Slimming World is the most advanced slimming organisation in the UK and was founded in 1969 by Margaret Miles-Bramwell, who remains the driving force behind the company. With the experience of a lifetime's weight problem, it is her enthusiasm and unique vision that has made the company so successful. There are now over 16,000 groups held weekly on a nationwide basis via a network of more than 4,500 Slimming World trained Consultants. We welcome 900,000 members to our groups weekly. The Tuesday meetings are open to both staff and members of the public and will be at 17.30 and 19.30.
Matron of Ashtead Hospital, Paul Scott, said, “We are delighted to be able to support local community groups and see our venture with Slimming World as an exciting start to a flourishing partnership.”
Ashtead Hospital are supporting 10 members of staff with the opportunity to join the 12 week course free of charge and Chef is offering a daily Slimming World meal option to staff and consultants in the restaurant at lunchtime.
The Slimming World service will also be available to patients to help optimise their health status, before or after a procedure at the hospital.
