Clifton Park Hospital to Take Part in Yorkshire Marathon Relay, Raising Money for St Leonard's Hospice

Clifton Park Hospital is excited to announce its involvement in the upcoming Yorkshire Marathon Relay on Sunday, 20th October 2024. The hospital is honoured to raise funds for St Leonard's Hospice, a cherished local charity that provides vital care to patients and their families across Yorkshire.

Three mixed teams of six participants from Clifton Park Hospital, comprising theatre practitioners, physiotherapists, and housekeeping staff, will be lacing up their running shoes to take on the scenic and historic streets of York. Competing to become the fastest team, they will navigate the ancient city in what promises to be an exciting and challenging event.

Participating in the Yorkshire Marathon Relay aligns with the hospital’s ongoing commitment to the health and wellbeing of the local community. The hospital aims to raise significant funds for St Leonard’s Hospice, helping to ensure the charity continues providing essential services to those that need it.

Additionally, Clifton Park Hospital is proud to be one of the official sponsors of the Yorkshire Marathon 2024, reinforcing their dedication to both healthcare and community support.

Jane Tomlinson’s Run for All representative commented, “We are incredibly excited about the Yorkshire Marathon Relay this year, with teams from all over the country joining in. The relay uniquely makes marathon distance accessible to everyone, highlighting the strong connection between community and sport. We look forward to seeing how the competitors perform!”
