You will need to use this type of peel every six to 12 months to maintain the effects and you may need more than one treatment to achieve your desired result. The most common medium-depth peel is a Trichloroacetic acid peel.
- Deep peels – treats your deeper layers of skin. These peels offer long-lasting and intense facial rejuvenation. However, they tend to have a longer recovery time with swelling and redness and can lighten your skin. They are used to treat deeper wrinkles and scars, skin-damaged blotchy skin, or precancerous growths. Phenol is a strong facial peel that produces a deep peel.

For patients having a deep facial peel, you can expect some peeling and discomfort for a few days, swelling for up to two weeks, and redness for up to three months.
