Mr Griffiths qualified in 1996 from Barts and The London Medical College with BMedSci and MBBS. After post-graduate training in London and Essex plus two years in research, he entered the six year NHS registrar training programme. During this period he worked at St Andrew's Centre, Barts and The Royal London Hospital, and Charing Cross Hospitals where he developed his interest in all aspects of breast surgery. Finally, he completed his training with an Aesthetic Fellowship and spent time visiting renowned plastic surgeons in Munich and New York before taking up a post at as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at St Andrew's Centre, Broomfield Hospital where he specialises in reconstructive breast surgery and lower limb trauma. This involves dealing with congenital breast deformity, breast asymmetry and breast reconstruction after cancer. He also has a peripheral clinic at Colchester covering general plastic surgery including a skin cancer and paediatric service. In 2007 he received the Gold Medal for the final plastic surgery training exam, FRCS (Plast) and is the surgical tutor for Broomfield Hospital. Mr Griffiths has published first author papers in both basic science and clinical plastic surgery.
