Even successful treatment can be an exhausting experience and one where you have good and bad days. At Ramsay we are well aware of the emotional and psychological impact on patients - as well as the physical strain they are under.
We offer the comfort of being looked after by the same consultant throughout your care pathway - but with the input of other specialists when needed. We also have a dedicated specialist oncology nurses who will help your recovery.
We are also keen to offer you other non-medical support on your cancer journey. This can be as simple as giving information about support services and patient groups. But in some of our hospitals we can also call on charities providing complementary therapies which many patients find make them feel better able to cope. These include aromatherapy and massage. Counselling is also available and referral to other services such as Macmillan nurses.
