Neil Cheek

Neil is the Department Manager. He qualified in 2003 having trained at the University of Brighton and initially worked in the NHS before moving in to the private sector. Neil’s passion is helping people get back to their desired activities with a sport specific, as well as strength and conditioning focus.

Alicja Hughes

Alicja qualified with an MSc in Physiotherapy in 2009.  Alicja works across both the in patient and outpatient services at Pinehill and has a particular interest in Orthopaedics.

Toly Lau

Toly joined Pinehill having qualified from the University of Hertfordshire in 2006. Toly shares her time between post operatively rehabilitating patients on the wards following surgery and assessing and treating musculoskeletal outpatients. 

Nicola Nash

Nicola qualified from the University of Sheffield in 2001. She worked for 3 years in the NHS before specialising in musculoskeletal injuries. Nicola joined Pinehill in 2004 and is a member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP).  

Farah Thompson

Farah works across both the inpatient and outpatient services at Pinehill covering musculoskeletal and Orthopaedic Physiotherapy.  With 14 years of experience Farah particularly enjoys the use of soft tissue release techniques. She is also trained in Acupuncture and Women's Health Physiotherapy.

Chris Whybrow

Qualifying in 2008 Chris experienced various aspects of Physiotherapy before specialising in the musculoskeletal field.  Chris’ primary interests include sports injury rehabilitation and the biomechanical analysis of movement.  Chris also practices acupuncture and runs lower limb rehabilitation sessions on Wednesday evenings.

Keira How

Keira graduated from the University of Brighton in 2011. After some time out travelling she went on to work in the NHS for 3 years in a variety of areas. Alongside this she also worked with Watford Ladies FC for 2 seasons providing pitch side first aid and treating/rehabilitating sports injures. Since joining Pinehill in 2016, Keira has attended Level 1 Matwork Pilates, completed her Level 1 British Association of Hand Therapists (BAHT) accreditation and a Strength and Conditioning for Therapists course. She has set up and runs an exercise class for patients with back pain on Monday evenings. Keira sees a variety of injuries and conditions with a focus on exercise rehabilitation and restoring movement patterns.  

Helen Mellersh

Helen qualified in 2010 from Birmingham University and treats a women's health caseload. After spending 6 years in the NHS working alongside world leading obstetric and gynaecological medical professionals, she decided to join the private sector. She has completed a number of postgraduate courses as is keen to help her patients develop the confidence to independently manage their symptoms and to regain control of their lives.

Jessica King

Jessica qualified from the university of Essex in 2015 with a MSc in Physiotherapy.  Prior to this she worked in musculoskeletal practice and in Rugby as a sports rehabilitator.  Jessica’s primary interests lie in the areas of persistent pain and enabling people to achieve their goals through exercise – based therapy.  Jessica is a member of the Physiotherapy pain association.
