At Rivers Hospital, if you suffer from back pain, we aim to provide you with the confidence and tips to get you back to doing the things you love.
Our back school rehabilitation class is run by the physiotherapy team at Rivers Hospital. During the hour session, the team will go through a presentation as well as a practical excercise session.

Following the presentation a Q&A will take place with the physiotherapists as well as practical exercise element to help you strengthen and become more confident caring for your spine.
Patients who receive a spinal injection under one of our consultants at Rivers Hospital will be invited to a follow up appointment in our Back School Rehab Class.
We aim to give you the independence and education to go home and independently manage your back in your day-to-day life.
This class is also open to patients who are suffering with back pain/issues and are interested in finding more information about how to manage back pain through physiotherapy before considering treatment.
The classes are led by our physiotherapists and take place on a Tuesday 11-12 and Wednesday 1-2pm, located in the physiotherapy department at Rivers Hospital.
The back school rehab class is priced at £55.
If you are wanting to self-refer for the class (not being referred via a Consultant following injection or via your insurance provider) you would first require a triage session with the physiotherapy team to check your suitability for the class.
The triage session is priced at £55 for a 30 minuite session. If you are deemed suitable for the class and would like to attend, you will be charged the class fee (£55).
If you have had a spinal injection under the care of a Consultant at Rivers Hospital one class is included within your package price, so no additional cost will be required.
