Easy access to a GP

The Private GP Service at Rivers Hospital offers the convenience of flexible appointment times, Monday - Friday. Same day appointments may also be available if needed, enabling you rapid access to a GP. Our appointments are 15 or 30 minutes long, meaning you will have sufficient time to discuss your health at length, There is no need to register with us, you can simply use the service on an odd occasion alongside your NHS GP service or as often as you want.

Services include:

• General medical problems
• Management of acute and chronic illnesses
• COVID-19 swabs (fit-to-fly) and Antibody blood tests 
• Health screening/health MOTs
• Mental health
• Blood tests
• Medical e.g. employment, driving and visa
• Family planning and contraceptive advice
• Cervical smears
• Travel vaccines and other vaccinations
• Referrals to specialists 
• Referrals for scans
• Home visits (pre-arranged, within close proximity)

You are under no obligation to use any services following your GP appointment, but, if you did wish to, we can offer on-site diagnostic scans, blood tests, pharmacy, physiotherapy and access to hospital specialists.

Initial 30 minute appointments: £120
Follow up appointment costs range from between: £75 - £120

Please note this is unlikely to be covered by any private health insurance that you may have. Prices for other GP services, such as vaccinations/screening and medicals, are available on request.
