Tees Valley Hospital is part of Ramsay Health Care UK, one of the leading independent healthcare providers in England.

The hospital opened in 2018 and has built an excellent reputation for delivering first class healthcare for patients with health insurance, patients who are self-funding treatment and NHS patients exercising choice through the e-referral system.

Directions to Tees Valley Hospital

Tees Valley Hospital is within easy reach of the A19 and A66 and close to Middlesbrough Railway Station and Durham Tees Valley Airport.

By Car

From the A19 North - Take the A1130 exit towards Acklam. At the roundabout take the third exit onto the A1130. At the roundabout take the second exit onto Mandale Road/A1130. Turn right onto Acklam Road/A1032. Turn left onto Church Lane.

From the A19 South - Take the A1130 exit towards Acklam. At the roundabout take the first exit onto the A1130. At the roundabout take the second exit onto Mandale Road/A1130. Turn right on to Acklam Road/A1032. Turn left onto Church Lane.

By Rail

Middlesbrough Station is a 15 minute taxi ride away. For information on train operators and times phone the National Rail Enquiries on 0345 7484950.

Hospital Facilities

Visiting Hours

Visiting times for NHS patients are 2-4pm and 6-8 pm.

Visitors are welcome to visit on an open access basis for self-funding patients.

We do ask that you be considerate to others in the hospital. Lots of noise and many people can be very distressing to some patients. Please respect their need for rest and privacy. Children are very welcome but they must be supervised by an adult at all times.

This Quality Account is Tees Valley Hospital's annual report to the public and other stakeholders about the quality of the services we provide. It presents our achievements in terms of clinical excellence, effectiveness, safety and patient experience and demonstrates that our managers, clinicians and staff are all committed to providing continuous, evidence based, quality care to those people we treat. It will also show that we regularly scrutinise every service we provide with a view to improving it and ensuring that our patient’s treatment outcomes are the best they can be. It will give a balanced view of what we are good at and what we need to improve on.
