I recently had surgery and could not be more pleased with my experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure I felt comfortable and well-informed every step of the way. Everything went exactly as expected, which was very reassuring. A huge thank you to everyone who looked after me, before and after the procedure. Your professionalism and kindness made all the difference. Highly recommend this team for anyone in need of medical care.

I had foot surgery a week ago and the whole experience was very good. The actual day of the operation was very efficient from start to finish, with me returning home at lunchtime after an early morning start. I was provided with lots of useful information for pre-op preparation and post-op recovery, so had very few questions that weren't already covered. My room was excellent, with TV and en-suite bathroom, so I'd have to be really picky to criticise any part of my journey. I was back on my feet straight away (with crutches) and looking forward to returning for dressings to be changed and to find out what's happening under all the bandages!

Lovely hospital with staff who haven't been able to do enough from start to finish. Every appointment has been quick to get and then on time. Information has been sent out quickly and is clear. Had day surgery 5 days and recovery has been great with the nice touch that someone from the hospital rang to check up a couple of days later. Will be in for a bigger operation in the new year and although not looking forward to it, I know the hospital and staff will be there to ease the process as much as possibly. Would fully recommend

Had total knee replacement on 7th Oct I'm now 6weeks post op&doing well big thankyou to my surgeon Mr Hatton who woz very caring before&after the op&so wer all the staff I came in contact with from the anesthesist,porter,nurses,physio &catering staff,special thanx to Amanda the nurse who looked afta me,made me feel at ease&woz so friendly,just hope wen I hav 2 av my other knee done I get the privilege ov being referred to woodthorpe again as I woz an NHS patient,

I had a knee arthroscopy on 10/11/24 and from the moment i arrived i was treated with the utmost care. The staff were so friendly and made me feel at ease. A special mention to the nurse who attended to me after my operation she was so kind and helpful. Thank you

I was well looked after by friendly and lovely staff. The specialist was extremely pleasant and thoroughly explained the problem and procedure before undertaking surgery . The secretaries were helpful and kept me intouch . Room was good and clean and i could get help easily from the nursing staff when needed . It’s early days yet but hopefully the procedure on my spine has been sucessful .

I attended Woodthorpe hospital a number of times under the care of Mr. Ghosh. Mr. Ghosh is incredibly patient, kind and attentive, and gave me an accurate diagnosis within our first meeting, after years of having experienced pain which had previously been dismissed as IBS. He helped me decide on which treatment was best for me, and was nothing but sympathetic, all the while keeping me informed on all possible options and their outcomes. Having now recovered from my surgery with Mr. Ghosh, I am happy to say I am finally symptom free from endometriosis for the first time in years. To note, recovery was also smooth with little pain, and the incisions have healed beautifully. Additionally, the two nights I spent in the hospital were quiet and comfortable, and the nurses on duty were nothing but kind, caring, and helpful. I can not thank Mr. Ghosh enough for giving me my life back.

All the nursing staff were absolutely brilliant, they cared for me really well, the surgeon was very helpful and explained things to me well. The theatre staff were also excellent, really putting me at ease prior to the procedure. Unfortunately it's been over eight weeks since I had the procedure which was foot surgery and I still cannot bare to wear a shoe. My toes and foot are still swollen and go off in opposite directions, I saw my G.P. a couple of weeks ago and she said, bone surgery does take time to heal and I was to see her again in four weeks to see if it was any better. I hope I can get a shoe on soon as the weather is starting to get colder now.

Mr Wjieratna's shoulder replacement has proven to be not only cutting edge technologically but able to withstand a major car accident less than a month after surgery without compromising the efficacy of the replacement. The A&E team checking me after the accident gathered in awe to look at the X-ray of my repaired shoulder. .. Alongside his and his team's superb skills, Mr Wjieratna's attentive and supportive attitude have made the experience truly wonderful - especially for a person with a phobia for all things medical!
