Mr. Ali Shafighian completed his training in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery on the Charing Cross, St. Mary's and Chelsea circuit in 2009. Since then, he has worked as a Consultant in hand and upper limb surgery at the Royal Surrey County and Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals.
Throughout his training, he has cultivated an interest in hand, wrist and shoulder surgery. This culminated in a yearlong fellowship at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane, Australia, which involved the treatment of complex elective and traumatic disorders of the hand and upper limb including the microvascular replantation of severed digits. His hand and wrist interests are the treatment of simple and complex Dupuytren's disease, hand and wrist trauma including nerve and tendon injury as well as elective procedures for arthritis.
For the shoulder, he routinely performs arthroscopic and open surgery for common conditions such as impingement, rotator cuff tear and arthritis.
