Mr Vipul Patel is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in shoulder, elbow and trauma surgery.

Mr Patel offers the following treatments:
Arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery of the shoulder treating: Rotator cuff disorders, Labral tears and instability, Frozen shoulder, Arthritis, Shoulder replacement, resurfacing and reconstructive surgery.
Surgery for disorders of the elbow: Tennis Elbow and Golfer's Elbow, Loose bodies, Arthritis, Elbow replacement.
Surgery for fractures and sports injuries.
Initial consultation fee will not exceed £350 and follow-up consultation fee will not exceed £200.

Mr Patel completed his higher surgical training in Orthopaedic surgery at St George's Hospital and affiliated hospitals and spent a year on fellowship in Baltimore, USA developing subspecialist interest in the shoulder, elbow and knee.
In 1999 Mr Patel was appointed Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon in Chichester and in 2001 moved to Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals, where he served as Clinical Lead for Trauma and Orthopaedics from 2008-12 and Clinical Quality lead for Surgery, Critical Care and Anaesthesia from 2016-19. Mr Patel specialises in arthroscopic and joint replacement surgery of the shoulder and elbow. He was instrumental in introducing shoulder surgery to the South West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre (SWLEOC) in 2005. Mr Patel was appointed as Medical Director at SWLEOC in 2020.
Mr Patel is actively involved in training future orthopaedic surgeons and is on the faculty of a number of national and international courses on Trauma and shoulder surgery.
