Dr Benjamin Wakerley is a Consultant Neurologist who specialises in Headaches
Dr Benjamin Wakerley is a general neurologist. He sees all neurology ie. Parkinson's, tremor, cognitive impairment, epilepsy, trigeminal neuralgia, migraine/headache, sensory disturbance and has a specialist interest in headache. He offers extensive diagnostic services and treatment options for all types of headache.
He is particularly interested in the treatment of patients with daily headache, including chronic migraine, and is able to advise on the latest treatment options.
Dr Wakerley is very experienced in the administration of injections nerve blocks/anti CGRP monoclonal antibody for headaches and able to advise on the latest electronic devices and antibody therapies used to treat headache.

Dr Wakerley is an honorary senior clinical lecturer at the University of Birmingham and is very interested in research. As well as being involved in on going headache trials he has published a number of research papers.
Dr Wakerley teaches medical students from Birmingham University Medical School and also runs the annual Oxford Symposium on Headache. He also regularly gives talks to GPs on the management of headache.
