Dr Fazal Sheikh is a Consultant Rheumatologist working in the Surrey area at Ashtead Hospital.
All aspects of Rheumatology including Early inflammatory Arthritis, Rheumatoid arthritis, Psoriatic arthritis, Ankylosing spondylitis, Osteoporosis, Gout, Fibromyalgia, Osteoarthritis, Intra-articular and soft tissue injections, monitoring of disease modifying drugs.

Dr Sheikh has been working as a substantive NHS consultant in Surrey and Greater London since 2016. He completed general medical rotations at various hospitals across England and GP training in South West London after which, he undertook Rheumatology specialty training in Wales Deanery at the Peter Maddison Rheumatology Centre, Llandudno and University Hospitals of Wales, Cardiff.
Dr Sheikh was awarded the WARN (Welsh Arthritis Research Network) Specialist registrar Research Grant to investigate Rheumatoid Cachexia and participated in research in collaboration with the Sport, Health and Exercise Sciences (SSHES), Bangor University. He developed an interest in MSK ultrasound in Rheumatology during this time, undertook ultrasound training at PMRC Llandudno and Croydon University Hospitals and subsequently completed the CASE Accredited Focused Ultrasound course in Rheumatoid Arthritis from Canterbury University with distinction.
Dr Sheikh was co-author in multiple publications including publications regarding Rheumatoid Cachexia and ultrasound features in early arthritis. He is currently working as a Consultant Rheumatologist at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust. He is an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at St Georges University of London. He is the named undergraduate faculty lead and GP trainee supervisor for Rheumatology at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals.
