Dr Shaw (MBChB, MSc, FRCP) graduated from Bristol University in 1994 and subsequently completed speciality training in the South West and at St. Mark’s Hospital in London. He has a Master’s degree in Medical Education from the University of Cardiff and has been a Gastroenterology Consultant in Gloucestershire since 2023. He is currently the Clinical Lead for Inflammatory Bowel Disease in Gloucestershire and has a particular interest in the diagnosis and treatment of luminal gastroenterology (conditions that affect the gut). He is a medical adviser for Crohn’s and Colitis Uk (the patient charity for Inflammatory Bowel Disease) and as previously the National Lead in the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Programme at the Royal College of Physicians.
