Dr Basu is a Consultant Neurophysiologist at Ashtead Hospital in Surrey.
Dr Basu is from an Acute Medicine and Neuro Rehabilitation background. She has specialised and worked in Clinical Neurophysiology for the last twenty years. She is the Clinical Lead for Neurophysiology services of Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust, Honorary Consultant, St George's Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. She has a keen interest in teaching neurophysiology and preparing the neurophysiological part of medico-legal reports.

Further training was obtained in Edinburgh, Nottingham University hospital, Institute of Child Health, London and Uppsala University, Sweden.
