In addition, she has expertise in managing patients with asthma, urinary infections and urinary problems, constipation, abdominal pain, colic, food intolerance, endocrine problems, reflux, fits and faints and other problems in her paediatric clinics.

Has completed an MD in cardiomyopathy in children. She is actively involved in the management role as a clinical director for acute paediatrics for East and North Herts NHS Trust. Dr Chawla is involved in clinical governance in all spheres of paediatrics. She is involved in actively teaching and training junior doctors, and organises annual regional educational meetings.
