Chemotherapy: Targeted therapy, Multimodality therapy: In treating Colorectal and Lung cancer, Colorectal, Lung, and Cancer of Unknown Primary: Immunotherapy, He has successfully implemented the use of SBRT (precision radiotherapy) for early Lung cancer and 4DCT (image guidance) for all radical lung radiotherapy, His special interest is in using SBRT for Lung metastasis and Oligometastatic disease

Dr Mohammad Rafiqul Islam completed his Specialist Oncology training at Royal Marsden Hospital and Guy's Hospital and obtained Diploma in Oncology from Institute of Cancer Research (ICR), London. He was awarded the Brian Wither Travel Grant and Patricia McGregor Travel Fellowship to present his work in Florida, USA regarding precision Radiotherapy (SABR/SBRT).
He is the current radiotherapy lead for Southend Cancer centre and has been involved in Lung and colorectal cancer trials as Principal and Co-investigator and published in peer reviewed journals. He has lectured at a local and national level regarding Immunotherapy and toxicities.
