Dr Nick Robinson is a Cardiologist in Essex specialising in assessment of chest pain, screening for coronary disease and assessing cardiac risk with CT coronary angiography.
Dr Robinson is a highly experienced invasive cardiologist who has been a Consultant at St. Bartholomew's Hospital and at The Essex Cardiothoracic Centre. His specialist interests include assessment of chest pain, screening for coronary disease and assessing cardiac risk with CT coronary angiography. General cardiology interests include management of lipids abnormalities, coronary risk assessment, arrhythmias, heart failure and heart valve disease.
Dr Robinson is an active member and presenter at The British Cardiac Intervention Society as well as becoming a member of The Royal College of Physicians (UK) in 1990, he subsequently became a Fellow in 2007.
Dr Robinson graduated in medicine from Cambridge University. He then went on to complete his clinical studies at St Thomas' Hospital in London and and cardiology training in London, he was appointed senior registrar and clinical lecturer at St Bartholomew's and The London Chest Hospitals where he had training in angiography, balloon angioplasty and stent insertion. Dr Robinson has researched and published widely on the use of stents for the treatment of coronary disease. During his research he was awarded a British Heart Foundation Research Fellowship.
