Dr Gamma graduated in medical sciences from the University of Berne, Switzerland in 1997. After completing his General Medical Training at La Carità Hospital in Locarno, he undertook his specialist training in Cardiology at the Swiss Cardiovascular Centre, University Hospital Berne from 2001 to 2005. The Centre is internationally recognised as a centre of excellence for all cardiac invasive (including percutaneous PFO and ASD closure and pacemaker insertion) and non-invasive modalities (including imaging and electrophysiology). In 2005 he was appointed Research Fellow and Specialist Registrar at King's College Hospital in London, where he continued both his research activities, publishing in the field of coronary intervention, and refined and advanced his interventional skills. He was appointed as a Consultant Cardiologist at Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford, in September 2006. He performs his angioplasty and stenting procedures at the Essex Cardiothoracic Centre, where he treats patients from the whole of the Essex area.
