Following his graduation in India, Dr Peddasomayajula came to the UK and worked in South Wales and obtained MRCP (UK). He then trained in Rheumatology and General Medicine as an Eastern Deanery Specialist Registrar. Dr Peddasomayajula has a special interest in GCA (Giant cell or temporal arteritis) / PMR (Polymyalgia Rheumatica) and crystal arthritis (Gout). During early 2012, he contributed to 3e initiative, which is a pan-European group to develop guidelines for management of gout. At Broomfield Hospital, Dr Peddasomayajula initiated a sub-speciality clinic for GCA/PMR patients. As an Educational Supervisor, Dr Peddasomayajula helps and supports training of Specialist Registrars in Rheumatology and is involved in clinical research.
