She completed her basic surgical training in London, where she excelled by ranking 9th out of 470 candidates in the national selection for trauma and orthopaedics. She was awarded a registrar post on the distinguished Oxford Deanery Trauma and Orthopaedics Training Programme. During this programme she gained a Distinction in postgraduate Diploma in Orthopaedic Trauma Science from the University of London. She was awarded Fellowship of The Royal College of Surgeons in 2016 for Trauma and Orthopaedic surgery and obtained her Certificate of Completion of Surgical Training in 2019. Her expertise in hand and wrist was furthered by her fellowships with plastic surgical colleagues at the prestigious John Radcliffe Hospital Major Trauma Centre.
In addition to her clinical work, Miss Hazlerigg has been and elected member of the BOTA committee, an editor for the JOINT annual journal and has been an invited lecturer at the BSSH Instructional course in Hand surgery.
