
Miss Charlotte Foley is a Consultant Urological Surgeon in Hertfordshire. She specialises in male and female bladder issues including slow or frequent urination, incontinence, prostate enlargement, urinary tract infections, urethral strictures and bladder pain.
Female urology: Incontinence, Recurrent urinary tract infections (UTI), Overactive bladder, painful bladder syndrome, Voiding difficulties. TVT sling / tape problems.
General Urology: Diagnostic tests for bladder and prostate cancer (blood in the urine or raised PSA , >1000 prostate biopsies performed). Urinary symptoms - incontinence, weak bladders, slow flow, Benign prostatic enlargement including Aquablation procedures. Scrotal & penile conditions, Urethral strictures, Vasectomy, Kidney and ureteric stones.

Charlotte Foley qualified at Oxford University and undertook specialist Urology training at teaching hospitals in North London. For her last two years as a trainee, she focused on her subspecialist interest of reconstructive and ‘female urology'. This meant spending a year at University College London Hospital, then a further Fellowship year at the Royal Brisbane and Womens' Hospital in Australia. She was appointed as a Consultant at East and North Herts NHS Trust in June 2013 having already been at the trust since April 2012 as a Locum Consultant.
She has an MD(Res) from University College London from lab research funded by the Royal College of Surgeons of England and Cancer Research UK, and has published and presented on a regular basis. She lectures on the UCL MSc in Urology and Registrar teaching programmes. When not at work she tidies up after her small twins and larger husband.
