Miss Milnes has extensive experience in treating foot problems after qualifying as a podiatrist in 1999. She has performed a variety of surgical procedures including over 550 bunion corrections, 500 toe deformity corrections, 350 soft tissue procedures, 280 procedures to treat arthritic foot conditions (including fusions, joint replacements & decompressions) and a vast number of ingrowing toenail procedures. She specialises in diagnosing and treating all types of foot pain and deformity and works closely with colleagues in radiology to aid accurate diagnosis. Treatment plans are then tailored to individual requirements including; conservative care, therapeutic injections and foot surgery. Her key clinical interests include:• Forefoot surgery under regional andgeneral anaesthesia• Hallux Valgus (Bunion) corrections• Management of arthritic joints ofthe foot• Treatment of Morton's neuroma• Joint replacement surgery• Surgical treatment of ingrowingtoenails• Heel pain & plantar fasciitis

Professional Memberships

Miss Milnes is committed to continued professional development and regularly attends annual conferences hosted by the Directorate of Podiatric Surgery in the UK and the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons in the USA.In addition to her clinical caseload, she has enjoyed lecturing to post-graduate Masters students on the podiatric surgery programme at Glasgow Caledonian University. In 2015, she achieved tutor status and mentor trainees during their training in the NHS.

In 2014, Miss Milnes was appointed to the position of Consultant Podiatric Surgeon at Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust after being awarded Fellowship in Podiatric Surgery in 2010 and Certificate of Completion in 2014.
