Karen qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 1990 at the University of West Indies. She also attained a Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Physiotherapy from the Royal London Hospital and worked in elite sport as a team physiotherapist at the Commonwealth Games, World Athletics Championships and Olympic Games.

Karen has worked at the Rivers Hospital for 23 years and has been Women’s Health specialist for over 10 years, having completed numerous post-graduate courses in Women’s Health, prolapse, incontinence and MSK pain during pregnancy.

Pelvic Health conditions treated include bladder and bowel dysfunction, incontinence, prolapse, pelvic pain, post-natal checks for return to sport, musculoskeletal pain during pregnancy and exercises and advice to help women with the menopause.
