Notably, she was awarded the prestigious 'Andrew Wines Fellowship ' in Sydney, Australia, receiving the Gold BOFAS travelling fellowship in recognition of this.

Additionally, Miss Thomson pursued specialised training in polytrauma management at the Queen Elizabeth in Birmingham and engaged in humanitarian work in Gwagwalada, Nigeria during her training.
