Professor Timothy Davis is a Consultant Hand and Wrist Surgeon, working in Woodthorpe Hospital, Nottingham.

Professor Davis is a member of The British Orthopaedic Association. He was President of the British Society for Surgery of the Hand in 2009 and is presently chairman of the Society's research and Audit committee.
Professor David has published papers on the treatment of various hand conditions and was awarded a Hunterian Lectureship on the treatment of scaphoid fractures by the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2011.
Professor Davis qualified from Bristol University in 1979. He trained as an Orthopaedic Surgeon in the North-East. He spent a year at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, USA where he developed his interest in Hand Surgery. Professor Davis was appointed as a Senior Lecturer in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery at Nottingham University with honorary Consultant status in 1991. He took up his present NHS post as a Consultant Orthopaedic and Hand Surgeon at the Nottingham University Hospitals in 1994.
He was appointed as a Special Professor in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery at Nottingham University in 1999. He is leading a large national research study into the treatment of Dupuytren’s contractures of the fingers and has published research on the treatment of osteoarthritis of the hand, carpal tunnel syndrome, wrist ganglion.
