Mr Jowett undertook his medical training at Guy's, Kings and St. Thomas' graduating in 2003. He then demonstrated anatomy at CambridgeUniversity and undertook basic surgical training in Wessex. This was followed by posts at The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital and as a Trauma fellow at London's busiest trauma centre The Royal London.Subsequently his Orthopaedic training was on the prestigious Royal London rotation. Following this he undertook two year long fellowships in foot & ankle surgery. The first was in Melbourne, Australia with Mr. Harvinder Bedi for which he was awarded the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society, Ethicon and Orthosolutions travelling scholarships. The second was with Mr Heath Taylor at The Royal Bournemouth Hospital. In 2016 he was also awarded the European Foot & Ankle Society travelling fellowship to Germany.He has published and presented internationally on a wide range of foot and ankle topics most notably on the Achilles tendon and minimally invasive surgery.He was appointed a consultant at York Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust in 2017 and his practice covers all aspects of foot & ankle surgery. In 2018 he was awarded the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society travelling fellowship visiting world renowned centres in Boston, North Carolina and New York.
