Mr Chris Lodge is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in hip and knee surgery. He is a specialist managing arthritic conditions and performs hip and knee replacements along with knee arthroscopy for meniscal and cartilage conditions.
Mr Lodge is dedicated to the care of patients who suffer from wear and tear in the hip and knee joints and has a particular interest in revision surgery due to the complexity and the variability it provides.

Mr Lodge graduated in Medicine from the Newcastle University in 2011 and completed his surgical training on the Yorkshire Orthopaedic training rotation. During this time he found the high levels of patient satisfaction and surgical outcomes in treating hip and knee arthritis to be particularly rewarding and was inspired to become a hip and knee surgeon.
In 2021 he was selected to undertake a Hip & Knee Arthroplasty Fellowship in Nottingham working under renowned arthroplasty consultants, Andrew Manktelow and Ben Bloch. Following this he undertook a further Senior fellowship in complex revision and peri-prosthetic joint infections at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham, before starting as a consultant in York.
Mr Lodge has widely published in several peer reviewed journals and presented at both national and international orthopaedic meetings.
