Mr Daniel Engelke is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Winfield Hospital in Gloucester who specialises in upper limb surgery.
Upper limb surgery, arthroscopies of all joints, and trauma including complex trauma and limb reconstruction. In addition to treating all common hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder disorders, tendon reconstruction including flexor tendon injuries. He is highly experienced in arthroscopies of wrist, elbow, shoulder, ankle and knee, including cruciate ligament reconstruction.

He qualified 1995 in Wuerzburg, having spent part of his final year at the University of Chicago. He did his general surgical training in Nuremberg and Ratingen. His specialist trauma and orthopaedic training was in the university clinic of Bochum and the university clinic of Muenster where he also qualified as a specialist hand surgeon and specialist trauma surgeon. He has worked for more than 5 years at Consultant level in Germany before coming to the UK, latterly in Hamburg at a large level I trauma centre as the lead hand surgeon. He has worked as a consultant for the Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Trust since April 2010 and has established himself in the UK as a trauma and upper limb surgeon.
