Mr McRae was the Senior Registrar at The Royal Liverpool Hospital and Alder Hey Childrens Hospital from 1992 to 1995. He was a lecturer in head and neck surgery at Royal Liverpool Hospital in 1994, and was awarded an otology fellowship in Chennai, India from February to June 1995. He was also awarded a TWJ Fellowship in Otology to Beziers, France in 1995. He was appointed as a Consultant in ENT Surgery in Colchester in October 1995. Mr McRae has been a teacher on the Cambridge Endoscopic Sinus Surgery course since 1998 and is co-author of the 'Key Topics in ENT' textbook and author of the ENT chapter of 'Hutchinson's Clinical Methods'.
