Fazel Fatah is widely experienced in cosmetic surgery of the face, breast (breast augmentation, breast reduction) and body contouring. He has a leading role in teaching and training in the subject of Lipomodelling with fat graft to rejuvenate the face and hands, to improve body contour irregularities and to correct breasts deformities and asymmetry. Fazel Fatah is President of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS), and previously elected Council member of BAAPS and the British Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAPRAS).
Fazel Fatah completed his plastic surgery training in 1991 working in accredited plastic surgery centres in London, Birmingham and finally as a Senior Registrar in Oxford. He was granted Certificate of Higher Surgical Training in Plastic Surgery by the Royal College and appointed as NHS consultant at the West Midlands Regional Plastic Surgery centre, Wordsley. Currently Consultant at City Hospital, Birmingham. He is credited for introducing modern breast reconstructive surgery to the west Midlands and established, with other surgical colleagues, the first centre for mastectomy and immediate breast reconstruction in the West Midlands region at City Hospital and has played a significant role in developing and advancing the subspecialty on a national level. He has numerous publications in several leading peer review Plastic Surgery journals, plays a major role in teaching the specialty with invited lectures and presentations in national and international meetings and through organizing advanced postgraduate teaching courses in reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgery in the UK.
