Mr Settas started his training in Ophthalmology at the University Hospital of Heraklion under the guidance of Prof. Pallikaris, who performed the first LASIK procedure in 1989. Having relocated to the UK in 2004, Mr Settas trained at the Wolverhampton Eye Infirmary and at the Peterborough and Stamford Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust first as SHO and then as Registrar. He then went on to do a Fellowship in Vitreoretinal Surgery at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge, followed by a clinical Fellowship in Corneal Laser Refractive Surgery. Mr Settas has performed to date more than 10000 LASIK and LASEK procedures and in excess of 4000 Refractive Lens Procedures.
